Book of Travels is a Chinese watercolor painting I'm dying to walk through

More On: Book of Travels

"Choose your roads as you would your words: with caution." I mean, that very first snippet of Book of Travels dialogue sounds like an age-old expression, right? But I've never heard it put like that before, despite it sounding like ancient poetry and stellar advice at the same time. But maybe you're an old soul and have had this advice embedded in the soles of your shoes forever. If so, then I still absolutely think there's something for both you and I in Book of Travels.

The modernist art style is, I'll admit, what first drew me to this one. Like paper cutouts with rich lighting and shadow techniques thrown across each scene. Every page full of thoughtful brushstrokes: dirt paths turning off of stone paths, crossing mirror-like rivers with wooden bridges. Or a dry and barren dustbowl fading away into the distance like Chinese watercolors. Makes a dude wanna write a haiku or something.

Book of Travels is planning on a Q2 2021 launch window on PC. I've had it on my Steam Wishlist all year.
