Logitech is upgrading the HERO sensor and some of you might have it right now

Last night, I got an update to the G HUB software from Logitech, but I was in such a hurry I didn't read what was in the updates. Turns out, my little ole G502 Lightspeed got a sensor upgrade.

Logitech has announced that their HERO sensor is now HERO 25K because the DPI has been increased from 16,000 to 25,600. They are stating it's the first sensor to track at a sub-micron level. That's pretty damn small.

And sure enough, when I opened the Sensitivity tab in G HUB, I get the option to go even further now.

This update is coming to select mice with HERO sensors right now. The list includes:

  • G903 HERO
  • G502 LIGHTSPEED
  • PRO Wireless
  • G703 HERO
  • G604
  • G502 HERO
  • G403 HERO
  • PRO

So if you have one of those mice, upgrade your software to take advantage of the new DPI settings.
