Man this came out of nowhere. Nintendo dropped a bomb earlier today with a surprise announcement. We all know that a sequel to Breath of the Wild is coming, but we were informed that it's still a ways off. However, Nintendo has something to hold us over. Nintendo has announced that Hyrule Warriors, the Musou style game will be getting another entry and it's a prequel to Breath of the Wild set 100 years before the game. Even better, the game comes out in a few months.
Something interesting about this is that since it takes place 100 years before the game, I wonder if a young Impa will be playable. There is a character that is kneeling next to Link in the trailer that looks like her. I also wonder if they will add any additional characters. in the trailer we got confirmation of six playable characters. Mipha, Daruk, Urbosa, Revali, Link and Zelda.
Now anyone who has played Breath of the Wild will know how this story ends and man, Im not sure if Im ready for this. It's gonna be just like Halo: Reach or Star Wars: Rogue One.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity releases on November 20th 2020.
