More On: Microsoft Flight Simulator

Set your calendars for August 18th, because that's when Xbox Game Studios and Asobo Studio have announced that Microsoft Flight Simulator will release on PC. The game promises to be a visual masterpiece in 4K HDR that might even redefine certain aspects and expectations from what we currently hold for "sim" games. Even with the game launching over a full month from now, you can actually pre-order and begin installing it now via the Microsoft Store and Xbox Game Pass for PC. There are three editions to choose from:

  • The Microsoft Flight Simulator Standard Edition ($59.99 USD): includes 20 highly detailed planes with unique flight models and 30 hand-crafted airports. The Standard Edition will be available with Xbox Game Pass for PC.
  • The Deluxe Edition ($89.99 USD): includes everything from Microsoft Flight Simulator’s standard edition plus 5 additional highly accurate planes with unique flight models and 5 additional handcrafted international airports.
  • The Premium Deluxe Edition ($119.99 USD): includes everything from Microsoft Flight Simulator Standard Edition plus 10 additional highly accurate planes with unique flight models and 10 additional handcrafted international airports.

Whichever version you order, everything advertised above will be available at launch and the devs plan on continuing to support the game post-launch with additional content updates over time.
