Upcoming Breaking Bad-inspired RPG Family Man demo now available

The trailer for Broken Bear Games' upcoming RPG Family Man goes to some surprisingly dark places. While the devs compare say that their game is inspired by Breaking Bad, some of the imagery on display feels downright Sopranos-like (if the Sopranos took place in a Minecraft-style pixel-art world). There is no release date yet for consoles, but Family Man is scheduled to come to Steam on May 22. To celebrate, the team behind the game has released a half-hour prologue, available to download from Steam here.

When the full game releases later this month, players can look forward to the following features:

• Explore Riverport, and decide how to deal with each situation that arises
• Earn cash the hard (legal) way, or break a few rules here or there
• Every choice you make affects the neighborhood and your family
• Dozens of missions to complete and stories to resolve
• Unlock unique perks that suit your gameplay style
• Multiple different endings based on the decisions you made

I like the point that offers players the opportunity to "earn cash the hard (legal) way. Come on, we're gamers. We're gonna start doing hits for the mob to keep our family afloat, and gun down dudes in the snow. This is such a clever idea for a game, I'm surprised that it took this long for someone to get around to it.
