Looks like Paradox Interactive finally did a thing and announced a long-anticipated sequel with Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 at GDC after several weeks of teasing the announcement.  We reviewed the original game way back in 2004 and enjoyed it, although it had some issues with bugs that held it back from being great.  Having said that, here is the cinematic trailer release for the game:

What we know so far is that the game will take place in Seattle and will follow the character working their way through the Mass Embrace and trying to choose a side in the factional war and blood trade.  For those that enjoyed the original game, you will be pleased to know that Brian Mitsoda, the creative mind behind the original, is the lead writer for the sequel.

In addition to dropping the announcement trailer, Paradox also put out a video of the announcement keynote covering the game.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is expected to be ready sometime in Q1 2020 on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.  To find out more about the game or to pre-order or see the exclusives, head over to the official page.
