As part of the Tides of War progression mechanic that is free to all Battlefield V players, Chapter 2: Lightning strikes kicks off tomorrow. Lighting Strikes introduces Squad Contest (a more intense version of Conquest), four new weapons in the evolution of the Tides of War arsenal, and a new Grand Operation, Battle of Hannut. From the press release:
"Set in the French and Belgian countryside, players will give it their all in Airborne, Breakthrough, and – for the first time in a Grand Operation – Rush mode. Time to Death and Death Experience fixes have been updated following community feedback in those areas. Combined Arms, a co-op experience, will be launching with Chapter 2 in February. In the first Combined Arms endeavor, players will attempt a surgical strike on a single objective in eight missions. Players can also look forward to the return of Rush mode exclusively for a limited time in March. In Rush mode, the objective depends on whether you’re on the attacking or defending side. The mode will be available on the maps Twisted Steel, Narvik, and Devastation. Other content, like the Tank Hunter vehicles, will be added to Battlefield V in later updates throughout Lightning Strikes."
