Indie studio QC Games has announced that their premier title Breach will enter Steam Early Access on January 17th. Breach is a multiplayer dungeon crawler that places heavy emphasis on customization, with dozens of classes to choose from and tweak to your heart's content. According to the developers Breach fuses traditional action RPG gameplay with mythological elements, and also allows you to switch sides to the demon team to wreak havoc among aspiring adventurers. It looks like Gauntlet by way of Fortnite to me, but that's what the kids are into these days.
You can pick up a $24.99 pre-order package here to access some bonus content if you buy it before the 17th, which seems a touch brassy to me. Breach isn't coming out as a complete product on the 17th; it's going into early access. Isn't that kind of like asking customers to pre-order a pre-order? The teaser trailer below does look admittedly polished, but it's also 25 seconds long. QC Games is asking early backers to have a lot of faith. Put me down as "healthily skeptical" about this one.
