In a welcome surprise, Capcom announced today that the Resident Evil 2 Remake will be getting a limited time "One-Shot Demo" for PS4, Xbox One, and PC from January 11th-January 31st.

The demo last 30 minutes, in which "players must take on the challenge of surviving the horrors of Raccoon City in" that amount of time. The demo is replayable if the player completes it within the time limit. However, if they take a full 30 minutes to complete the objective, then it is no longer playable, according to the press release sent out today.

Players who complete the demo will be rewarded with a trailer exclusively released on the One-Shot, and said trailer can be viewed any amount of times.

The press release states that players will control Leon Kennedy "as he arrives at Raccoon City Police Station in the ultimate worst first day on the job". Sounds enticing.

Resident Evil 2 Remake releases January 25th.
