More On: World War Z

While the release of World War Z is still a ways off, the launch plans for the cooperative shooter have started taking shape. It was recently announced, along with a variety of new information regarding the game, that Saber Interactive would be teaming up with Focus Home Interactive to publish at least the digital version of the game on the PlayStation and Xbox storefronts. The game, which will be based on the film version rather than the book, will have players jetting around the world to tell the unique stories of different survivors of the zombie apocalypse.

The developers have also released a new trailer for the game that breaks down the various player classes that you will be choosing from. There will be six for you to choose from:

  • Gunslinger – fully loaded with an arsenal of weapon damage and ammo-boosting perks to mow down the dead
  • Hellraiser – explosive experts rejoice, this class is all about the BOOM
  • Slasher – melee at its finest with skilled use of blades
  • Medic – support is always needed
  • Fixer – good balance between explosive offense and support tactics
  • Exterminator – watch the world burn with fire based weapons

Check it out and start planning your route through the undead:
