CREED: Rise to Glory announced for Vive and Oculus; pre-orders open now

More On: Creed: Rise to Glory

CREED: Rise to Glory, the PS VR boxing title that got me all twitterpated last month, has now been expanded to release day and date on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. CREED was set to release on September 25th, and that date is sticking firm for all three systems. Additionally, the game will release to VR Arcades the same day.

Developer Servios is gearing up the full court press on this title, and that includes accepting pre-orders for the PC version. More information on that (including a 10% discount) can be found on the game's official home page here.

Some of the features I highlighted last month: Using Servios’ new VR tech (known as “Phantom Melee Technology”, Creed allows the player’s avatar to mimic real-life boxing; throwing punches and getting hit, getting staggered or knocked out, and feeling the fatigue of a continuous match. In addition to the career and training modes, there will also be a freeplay mode that allows players to set up a custom fight with the location and opponent of their choice.

There is no question that I am excited for this game. Eric needs some exercise, and having Rocky Balboa holler at me in Mick's Gym seems just the way to get it. That way I can be in full fighting shape for the release of Creed II in November. It's important to not be all flabby when going to a theater to see Michael B. Jordan beat up Drago's kid.
