Today Starbreeze Studios and Overkill have released Payday 2 onto Switch, one of the more surprising ports to the console/handheld hybrid. The game arrives with a healthy dose of DLC content too, including over 50 heists, 150 weapons and several of the heisters previously released on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The Switch version adds HD rumble support and touchscreen controls for menus.

The Switch release also heralds the arrival of new heister Joy, a Japanese hacker with an LED-light mask that dynamically alters her appearance. Finally, Overkill has added a new Local Play mode to their CRIME.NET server network to allow local wireless multiplayer. Check out the launch trailer below for a fresh, portable look at the game.
