Get your shoot and loot on with Mercenary Kings: Reloaded Edition

More On: Mercenary Kings: Reloaded Edition

At first glance, Tribute GamesMercenary Kings looks like Metal Slug clone (not that there’s anything wrong with that). But after digging a little deeper, it becomes clear that there is more going on in this game. Yes, you move from right to left and shoot and stab stuff.  But there is also this whole crafting element that sets the game apart. You can actually build new guns and knives, and then take THEM into levels and shoot and stab stuff. It looks like a lot of chaotic fun.

The original Mercenary Kings was released on PS4 and Steam after a successful Kickstarter campaign and a run though Steam Early Access. This new version is available on those platforms, plus Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PS Vita (be still my heart, I love my Vita!). Folks with the original title get a free upgrade to the new version, which includes two new playable characters, 20 new weapons and the new Steel Soldier mission, which allows you to stomp around in “mecha-armor”.

Mercenary Kings: Reloaded Edition is out today, and retails for $19.99.
