I've got a kid that breaks every screen he comes in contact with. Over the years, he has broken screens on two iPhones, one iPad Mini, two Samsung phones, a DS, a 3DS and a PC. Same excuse every time: The dog stepped on it. I'm getting this kid a Switch for Christmas (don't tell him), and I'm terrified of what he (and the dog) will do to it.
Nyko to the rescue, it seems. Today, Nyko released their new Bubble Case and Swivel Grips, both available from Amazon at $14.99 and $9.99, respectively.
The Bubble Case caught my attention. It easily slides over the screen section and the Joy Cons without obscuring most of the buttons and ports. The only things that you lose are the kickstand and the Mini-SD port, which is fine. Far better to have a Switch with no kickstand than a Switch with a broken screen. And I feel like the $14.99 price point is very reasonable, considering the fact that they also pack in a screen protector.
I'm gonna buy one of these for me, too. It would be just my luck that I make fun of the kid, and then break the screen on my own Switch. To Amazon I go!
