Redwood games has released the first trailer for Plutocracy, a game based in the 19th century period of robber barons, corrupt politicians, and mega-millionaires. You know, kinda like today's Silicon Valley.
Plutocracy is going to be all about buying companies to form monopolies, using government rent seeking and other nefarious schemes to create barriers to entry for any emerging competitors, buying crooked politicians and ensuring that they stay bought, and basically profiting from world strife and global wars. What could go wrong?
Plutocracy will be playable on Windows, Linux, Mac OS and is currently scheduled to enter beta in December, 2017.
