Azure Striker Gunvolt and its sequel were two of the standout action platformers on the 3DS, taking clear inspiration from Mega Man (it was developed by the creators of the Mega Man Zero series). Now both games and all of their DLC are coming to Nintendo Switch, in the Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack. Naturally this move to Switch means 60fps HD graphics, Pro Controller support and even HD Rumble.

Critically Acclaimed 2D Side-Scrolling Action Franchise Gets Revamped For The Nintendo Switch Console

 

NEW JERSEY – Aug. 28, 2017 – Prepare to jump into one of the most electrifying 2D platformers out there as Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack is heading for Nintendo Switch at North American and European retailers. This October, fans can pick up the two-in-one package featuring both Nintendo 3DS classics, Azure Striker Gunvolt andAzure Striker Gunvolt 2, now with all-new enhancements and fully optimized for Nintendo Switch. Players can also explore the entire catalogue of downloadable content (DLC) for both games, which comes pre-loaded in the pack and introduces extra stages, bosses, bonus modes, and songs.

 

From developer Inti Creates and publisher Nighthawk Interactive, the Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack offers tons of new features, including a glorious 60 frames per second (fps) upgrade, striking high-resolution event graphics, andNintendo Switch Pro Controller and HD Rumble compatibility, making these supercharged side-scrollers more energized than ever.

This critically acclaimed series has intuitive controls, memorable characters, and shockingly epic boss battles. Play as Gunvolt, zipping and zapping your way through levels and skill trials by tagging enemies with your weapon, then shocking them into oblivion. In Gunvolt 2, enjoy the game in an entirely new way with the addition of Gunvolt’s rival Copen as a playable character. Playing as Copen, you can dash through the air, slam into enemies, and unleashdevastating homing shots to make short work of your enemies.
