As first reported back in June at E3, The Evil Within 2, sequel to the 2014 title by Resident Evil creator Shinji Makami, is coming to get us.
Thankfully, a new trailer has dropped that gives us a peek at what horrors returning protagonist Sebastian Castellanos will face this time around. Included in the trailer are many new and updated enemies, including one very kooky-looking boss, as well as many new locations that change up the scenery compared to the droll setting of the last game.
I didn't play the first Evil Within, but I did watch a full playthrough on YouTube. What I saw was a potentially good stealth/horror/action/survival game, that quickly devolved into a bit too much action for my taste. Based on this trailer, it looks like several of those elements have been refined. But we'll find out for sure when the game releases October 13th.
I've got to say, though, the beard is a nice touch on Sebastian's part. You can find out more about The Evil Within 2 here.
