Players of Torment: Tides of Numenera recently received a content update as well as some additions this week. The biggest feature introduced was a new companion called Oom ("The Toy"). Oom is a shape-changer and a guardian and is somehow connected to the Tides. It doesn't speak and its thoughts are just some alien metaphors, but it does push you to increase your understanding of the Tides and to learn secrets about its past. The update also includes the Voluminous Codex. This basically serves as an encyclopedia of your travels and updates with more entries as you proceed through the game.
