Potato-clicker Spaceplan launches today and I want to play it

More On: Spaceplan

In case you missed the 40-minute preview of abstract sci-fi clicker Spaceplan, here's a launch trailer which adds some meat to your potatoes. Which is to say, the little blips you fire into your red planet are called potatoes, and this video puts some meat on the bare-bones presentation from last week.

I know, if I have to explain the metaphor, it's not a good metaphor.

But designer Jake Hollands answers the two questions he must've been asked a million times by publisher Devolver: 1) What is it, and 2) does it ever end? Hollands's answers: 1) It's a clicker, and 2) it has an ending.

There you have it. I never personally thought I'd ask for a PC game to be on my phone instead, but I'd love to have this one playing on the side while I get to my day-to-day stuff at work. Perhaps that'd ruin any meditative build up it's going for. Who knows? The concept of circling my satellite around a planet and firing potatoes, even-bigger potatoes, and potato-owned skyscrapers (?) at the surface has me weirdly intrigued, though.
