Prepare for battle with the GeForce GTX 1060

NVIDIA has announced that the GeForce GTX 1060 has been added to the Prepare for Battle bundle that nets you one of two free games. If you purchase the GeForce GTX 1060, you can pick up Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands or For Honor free.

The GeForce GTX 1060 is being touted as a GeForce GTX 980 performant card at a more friendly price of $249. Not only will it deliver great speeds at a good price, it will use less power to do so. I've been a user of the GeForce GTX 980 for a long time now and it's still serving me really well in my HTC Vive portable machine.

That's two very good games to choose from and they can be yours at no extra cost for the nicely priced card purchase. Besides offering up 60FPS performance on high settings at 1080p, the card can also do some really great things such as stream or record your gaming sessions and take great pics in games that support Ansel. Ansel games include the two in the bundle as well as Watch Dogs 2, Conan Exiles, and Mass Effect: Andromeda just to name a few.

So, if you need a really good performing graphics card but don't want to break the bank, check out the GeForce GTX 1060 and you'll also get a nice free game to boot.

GeForce GTX 1060 added to the “Prepare for Battle” bundle

Today NVIDIA is adding the GeForce GTX 1060 GPU to our Prepare for Battle GeForce GTX bundle, which already includes GeForce GTX 1070, 1080 and 1080Ti GPUs. Now gamers can get a free copy of either For Honor or Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands with the purchase of a GeForce GTX 1060-based graphics card.

The GeForce GTX 1060 is the ‘Recommended’ GPU for both For Honor and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands and delivers an amazing 1080p experience at 60fps with high settings. Performance results using both in-game benchmarks show the GeForce GTX 1060 delivers the best performance in its class.

Both games also include NVIDIA Ansel, which allows gamers to capture their own in-game photography. We expect this to get Ansel into the hands of mainstream gamers that purchase GeForce GTX 1060 GPUs.
