It's not uncommon for various games to celebrate various holidays, especially MMOs.  World of Tanks is no different.  For a limited time, players of the console and PC versions of World of Tanks as well as World of Tanks Blitz can take part in various holiday and wintery in-game events, regardless of which version you play.

Toy Tank Mode makes a comeback to consoles and offers a "playful way to battle against friends" in tiny toy tanks as players navigate around a battlefield of presents.  The Tier IX, "Toy Tank" is modelled from the French Tier V BDR G1 B but is outfitted with a spring-loaded turret that fires of suction cup darts which will stick to enemy tanks when they hit, because these are toy tanks after all.  When an enemy tank is destroyed, they leave behind a present that can be picked up for added bonuses.  This game mode is available on the PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox 350 from December 23rd through December 26th.

Over on the PC we have the World of Tanks PC Holiday Ops.  Currently in progress, when players open up their garage they'll find their very own New Year Tree and a KV-2 Snowitzer.  Your goal is to decorate each of them to enhance your Festive Atmosphere level which will help you gain increasingly better rewards such as discounts on new Swedish tanks and decorations for your tree.

Finally there's Winter Joy and Fair in World of Tanks Blitz.  Mobile players can take part in Winter Joy where they can complete seven stages in hte main phase where a special currency will be earned.  Once a mission in the chain is completed the currency will be converted into tickets which can be used in the Blitz Fair auction house or to open chests containing unique vehicles and other prizes.

World of Tanks Celebrates the Holiday Season Across all Platforms

Enjoy a variety of festive events and activities in World of Tanks, World of Tanks Blitz and World of Tanks on Console

December 15, 2016 — It’s the most wonderful time of the year – time to warm up next to the fire and join the fight in World of Tanks! For a limited time, tankers can enjoy holiday and wintery in-game events on World of Tanks on Console, World of Tanks PC and World of Tanks Blitz. Regardless of which version you play, there is something to check out in December.

Toy Tank Mode in World of Tanks on Console

Toy Tank Mode makes a comeback to console! A change of scenery from standard tank warfare, Toy Tank Mode offers a playful way to battle against friends in miniaturized toy tanks and navigate around a battlefield of presents. Traversing through toy-made ramps, blocks and gifts, tankers will enjoy an experience like no other, where every aspect of the game including crew voices has been scaled down for lighthearted tank encounters.

The Tier IX, “Toy Tank” is modelled from the French Tier V BDR G1 B and outfitted with a spring-loaded turret that fires suction cup dart rounds that comically attach to enemy tanks with each successful hit. As each tank is destroyed, a surprise present will emerge from the wreckage giving tankers and added bonus when picked up. In a rambunctious fight for victory, these carefully crafted toy tanks drive straight from the workshop to the console with new special holiday emblems available only during this event. Enjoy this game mode on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 between December 23 and December 26.

World of Tanks PC Holiday Ops

Holiday Ops for World of Tanks is, perhaps, the most ambitious festive undertaking the game has ever seen. Starting on December 16, when a tanker cracks open their Garage, they’ll find their very own New Year Tree and KV-2 Snowitzer. Your mission will be to decorate each of these, enhancing your Festive Atmosphere level, to gain increasingly better rewards, like discounts on new Swedish tanks, decorations for your Tree, and more.

Compete special Holiday Ops in Random Battles, and increase your level, to unlock crates bursting with baubles, tree toppers, pinecones, and much more. You can also combine decorations to create elusive, rare decorations.
