Steins;Gate is an absolutely incredible visual novel which also got a fantastic anime adaptation as well, and the story is going to continue soon as PQube has announced that the long awaited sequel will hit Europe and North America later this month and will launch on the PS Vita and the PS4.
All I am going to say is that this game is a canon sequel and follows an alternate timeline as if the player failed the original game. I wont say anything more than that and I would be going into spoiler territory so I will leave it at that. Seriously, this is a story you need to go into completely blind.
Yesterday I wrote about the Zero Escape collection coming next year and Steins;Gate is absolutely another visual novel I would recommend to anyone who is a fan of the genre. Steins;Gate is one of those stories that will make you feel absolutely exhausted as you play it as it's filled with tons of excellent plot twists and dramatic moments. I cannot wait to get my hands on Steins;Gate 0 to see the continuation of the story. The game is currently up for pre-order on Amazon.
Steins;Gate 0 will release in Europe on November 25th and in North America on November 29th.
