Activision clears up the confusion over Modern Warfare Remastered disk requirement

In case you may have noticed, there was a bit of an issue yesterday regarding the requirement of users to have the Infinite Warfare disk in order to play Modern Warfare Remastered.  Well, Activision has addressed it in a FAQ they have posted on their Support page:

So basically, if you have a PS4, you will need to key in a digital code from the box into the PlayStation Store,  Xbox One will have the game on the disk and it must be in the drive as well as requiring internet access and Steam will provide a code that gets access to the game, but will also need internet access to play.

So there you go.  It still is confusing to me that what should be a very simple redeemable code for download from the digital store across all platforms has turned into three separate methods of getting access to something that is included with your purchase.
