Sony won't let Bethesda do mods for Fallout 4 and Skyrim Remastered the way Bethesda wants to

Well, this is rather disappointing news for those who own a PlayStation 4 and one of Bethesda's open world games. Announced a while ago, Bethesda wanted to offer mods for both Fallout 4 and Skyrim Remastered. It's all good on the Xbox One, but the PlayStation 4?

Something is keeping Sony from agreeing to let Bethesda offer mods to both of those games as intended. In a statement by Bethesda, they are saying Sony won't approve the mod support Bethesda has developed.

Which is rather surprising as it's usually the other way around with these types of things with Microsoft being more restrictive. Yet here we are with the Xbox One owners enjoying user made content on Fallout 4 while those with the PlayStation 4 version won't be able to participate.

Maybe this news will spur some change, but I'd love to hear Sony's side of things as to why they won't approve of mods the way Bethesda wants to do them.
