Galaxy in Turmoil is a fan made remake of the cancelled Star Wars: Battlefront III from 2008. Originally titled Star Wars: Battlefront III and developed by Free Radical Design studios up to 2008, it was cancelled due to financial issues. However, the team at Front Wire Studios rebooted development of the game in March. Unfortunately they have not, as of this date, received permission from Disney to use the Star Wars IP.
After months of work, Valve have agreed to ship the game on Steam. For free. The team at FWS wanted to recreated the original experience Battlefront I and II gave players. To do this, they designed a world where you can begin fighting on the ground, hop into a ship and continue the fight whilst boarding an enemy capital ship in glorious 32 v 32 battles. Awesome sauce.
