Japan. Land of the Rising Super-Agile Light and Medium Tanks. World of Tanks on PlayStation 4 introduces the Japanese line of lights and mediums Soon (TM), adding a total of 15 new tanks. These vehicles were made to be especially dextrous to deal with Japanese railway systems, and may even present themselves as smaller targets due to building these for the generally smaller stature of Japanese men. (Hey, Wargaming did its research on this stuff, not me.)
This Imperial Steel update also pumps 16 more vehicles into German, US, and Soviet lines. And smooths out four new maps: Redshire, Pacific Island, Highway, and Steppes. I've run into Pacific Island a few times, since the maps are random; it presents unique challenges since one side starts on a far beach, and the other side starts up on a volcanic mountain. There are already too many maps on PS4 for casual tankers to keep up with, though. I miss my Teir I days when it was pretty much just Mines, Prokhorovka, and Cliff on heavy rotation. No complaints here, though. I'll learn the new maps eventually.
I didn't see the Japanese line on World of Tanks PS4 yesterday, but I'll keep an eye out. I love scouting with light, fast tanks. Keeps the gameplay fresh to throw in a match or two with those, as I slowly trudge up the American line of mediums.
