Battlezone was one of the very first arcade game I played back in the 80s and the vector graphics were mind blowing at the time. I mean, this game was cutting edge back in the day for 3D graphics.
Activision did a remake of the game back in 1998 and I was one of the ones that helped beta test the game for them. It was actually a nice take on the classic and was well recieved.
With the PlayStation VR though, Battlezone gets another push to a new level. These types of games work great for VR where you sit inside a vehicle and can look around without any restriction. Battlezone looks like it's going to be a pretty good offering to show off Sony's VR offering.
Rebellion announced they were redoing the 1998 game a year ago so it's good to see that Sony's letting them go forth with making this a full VR game as well.
