Now Loading for the week of 02/29/2016: Mortal Kombat & Zelda lead the way

Welcome to the start of another week, which means another lineup of new games are preparing to make their way to stores. Once again, we are looking at a long list of new games that will be available both digitally and in retail stores. There are two titles vying for the top spot this week on the list and, honestly, both are worth your time, attention and money.

Fighting game fans are going to get a new Mortal Kombat package with Mortal Kombat XL. This isn’t a whole new game, but rather the “complete package” of the original Mortal Kombat X release along with all of the DLC characters that are available for the game. This includes the four new characters being released this week as a part of Kombat Pack 2. If you haven’t picked up the game yet, this is a great chance to do so and to get the whole picture with everything that this amazing fighter has to offer.

Nintendo fans are being treated to the HD version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The updated Wii U port of the game boasts the usual gameplay and visual improvements expected with HD re-issues, plus there is additional content that comes via added Amiibo support. This is one of the most beloved Zelda titles in the franchise and fans will surely enjoy seeing the original classic with a fresh coat of paint.
