Open beta for World of Tanks PS4 happening again this weekend
Do you have a PlayStation 4? Do you like war machines? Then your next step is: Join World of Tanks' second open beta on PS4. It's going on this weekend from Jan. 8–10. When we reviewed World of Tanks on PC some five years ago, we couldn't have known that it would become the Minecraft of teambased tank vs. tank combat. I cheer everytime World of Tanks is ported to another console.
All I can say is, good luck, Hardware: Rivals. I know you're one of January's free PS Plus games. But it looks like you're trying to fit into a slot somewhere between Rocket League and World of Tanks. And I'm just being hasty and basing a subjective opinion on one or two videos, but it doesn't look like you're going to grab more attention than either of those other games.
You can preload World of Tanks on PS4 right now and start playing the beta on Friday. PS Plus is not required
Exclusive in-game content and Founder's Packs available during Beta
January 5, 2016 – Wargaming today announced that World of Tanks on PlayStation 4 will offer a second, three-day Open Beta January 8 through 10. Tankers can begin downloading the game now, and can kick start their tanking experience with special Founder's Packs available for a limited time.
Founder's Pack bundles are available in the PlayStation Store beginning today. They are loaded with Premium vehicles and in-game content including Premium Account time, in-game currency and rare tanks, at a discount. Additionally, the M22 Locust US Light Tank along with a special camouflage honoring the original PlayStation and the T1E6-PS US Premium Light Tank will be gifted to all tankers who log in during the Beta Weekend.
World of Tanks on PlayStation 4 is free to all PlayStation accounts and does not require a PlayStation Plus membership to play.
