We will find out who's next in Mortal Kombat X this Thursday at the Game Awards

More On: Mortal Kombat X

The yearly Game Awards (formally the Spike TV Videogame Awards) are being held this Thursday and Ed Boon says that he will be there to make a Mortal Kombat related announcement. Apparently we are going to find out who's next, so it seems we will find out who is going to be added to Mortal Kombat X next year when Kombat Pack 2 launches.

So who could it be? Your guess is as good as mine but there is one character that I want to be DLC more than anyone else. Sareena. Sareena has always been a strange character in Mortal Kombat history. She first showed up as as a boss character in Mortal Kombat: Mythologies. Then they were planning to make her a playable character in Mortal Kombat 4 but didn't make the final cut. Then she was considered for Deadly Alliance but once again didn't make the final cut. She finally made her playable debut in Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition, but that game was only released on the Gameboy Advance. She made her playable console debut in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, but the less said about that game the better.

Point is, I have always thought she was a really interesting character with plenty of room to be developed into a mainstay character. It absolutely broke my heart when I saw her make a cameo appearance in the story mode of Mortal Kombat X but wasn't a playable character. That and the fact that she showed up for like 5 minutes and then disappeared forever.
