SMITE's newest patch brings with it tons of new skins, rewards and information on a new game mode

SMITE is getting a patch next week and with it brings a bunch of goodies including the SMITE World Championship bundle, clan rewards, updated cards and some info about a brand new game mode.

First up is the SMITE World Championship goodies bundle.

  • Convention 2016 Anubis
  • Curse Agni
  • 2016 SWC Ward Skin
  • 2016 SWC Fireworks
  • One Divine Chest Roll for an additional Rare Skin, either a past Convention Skin or eSport Championship skin.

Also introduced in this patch are the new clan rewards. Clans have been in the game for a while, but you can now earn goodies while playing in one. All clans that are at least level 3 will now have the ability to access the Clan Treasure Store. In the store you can spend clan honor to unlock a number of chests. In those chests will be new "Shadow" skins for Isis, Thor, Anhur, Khepri and Tyr.

Finally, Athena is getting an update to her Gold, Legendary and Diamond skins by giving them the same treatment as Bellona and Anubis. As an Athena player, I am very excited about this and her card, which you can see below, looks beautiful.

Finally, Hi-Rez gave us our first look at a brand new gamemode coming in the future called "Clash". Clash is being pushed as somewhat of a way to bridge the gap between casual arena players that want to move into conquest. Clash has two lanes, small jungles in the middle and what appears to be side jungles. This means that keeping your lanes pushed up and jungling will still be important, but there is also an open area in the middle of the map with a single buff that teams can fight over.

If you are interested in checking out Clash early, you can do so only on the PTS server.

For the full list of patch notes, including all the buffs and nerfs (Janus finally nerfed, thank god) be sure to check out SMITE's official website.
