A bug in Bloodborne can possibly prevent you from progressing the game

I don't own a PS4 and if I did, I would probably not touch Bloodborne after reading Jeremy's review of it.  Not that it's a bad game, but after reading about his experience with it, I'd probably end up raiding a couple of stores of their controllers to have some spares on hand due to any rage I know I'd experience.  Imagine how I'd react if I came across a bug somewhere in the game that grinds my progress to a halt.  Well, a bug like that does exist...for now.

Essentially there's a bug where if a player initiates online multiplayer as a co-op guest by using the Small Resonant Bell or as a hostile invader by using the Sinister Resonant Bell, either while in the Forbidden Woods, the Lunarium Key might not properly appear in Byrgenwerth.  There is a hotfix that's currently being finalized and prepared for deployment and since the bug was found and reported so early, they're confident that the hotfix can be released next week, though there is no ETA currently available.

A couple of other notes about this hotfix (1.02).  This hotfix will NOT include the previously stated planned improvements to load times and performance, but those will be included in a separate patch.  Until this hotfix is deployed, players are advised not to use either the Small Resonant Bell or the Sinister Resonant Bell in the Forbidden Woods.  Finally, if you have already fulfilled the criteria for the bug, the team does apologize and hotfix 1.02 will resolve the issue.
