Helldivers receives new content packs

Although Helldivers released only earlier this month, Arrowhead Game Studios has announced that their top-down co-op shooter will be getting some DLC.

According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, three different packs will be coming, each bringing new gear and outfits. The packs can be purchased individually for $2.99, or for $5.99 in the Helldivers add-on bundle.

The Commando Pack will feature the Commando uniform, a silenced submachine gun titled SMG-34 "Ninja", as well as multiple missile launcher system called the MLS-4X "Commando."

The Defender Pack will include the Defender uniform, a semi-automatic rifle that fires small fragmentation grenades, and a backpack drone system equipped with a drone that circles overhead armed with a submachine gun.

Lastly, the Support Pack brings buyers the Support uniform, the LAS-16 "Sickle": A laser carbine with high damage, and the AD-289 "Angel": a drone system that heals and repairs.

The three DLC packs will be made available today when the PlayStation Store updates. Be sure to check out the trailer below that showcases the new content in action.
