Hi-Rez announces a $600,000 SMITE World Championship

SMITE is going to take a major step into becoming one of the biggest competitive MOBA's in the industry today as Hi-Rez Studios has announced that a $600,000 SMITE World Championship will take place January 9th - 11th, 2015, at the Atlanta Energy Cobb Performing Arts Centre. The championship will feature two top teams from North America, Europe and China, Brazil and South America. The prize pool will start at $600,000 but there will be numerous promotions throughout the rest of the year that can add money to the pool. I am fully expecting the pool to be over $1,000,000 by the time the championships are over.

Also starting today and lasting through Sunday, SMITE will hold a special free gem promotion. If you buy gem packs, you will earn bonus gems for free. Here is a rundown of how many free bonus gems you will get with each pack bought. 

  • Purchase the Ultimate God Pack and receive 400 Gems free.
  • Purchase the 2500 Gem Pack and receive 400 Gems free.
  • Purchase the 3500 Gem Pack and receive 800 Gems free.
