The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming to World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition

Soviet tanks have finally made their way to World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition. Dropping 29 new light, medium, heavy, and tank destroyer bad boys onto the tank tree brings the game's total up to 150 units. Wait, no Soviet artillery? The PC World of Tanks has 10 of 'em, but the 360 version will have to wait on those.

Look, it was a gradual progression on PC, too. You can't have everything at once on 360. Or Xbox Live will break.

Two new maps—Komarin and Ensk—are added to the shuffle. Ensk is a little more close quarters, a little more urban. Komarin looks like it's a lot of open fields and wetland habitat.

This gameplay footage shows Soviet artillery (those self-propelled guns that you see with their turrets shooting almost straight up into the air), but again, those didn't make the cut on this Soviet Steel update.

June 3, 2014 — Wargaming today announced the release of its Soviet Steel update, representing the largest single content addition so far for World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition.

Soviet Steel adds 29 of the most iconic Soviet light, medium, and heavy tanks and tank destroyers to ever grace the field of battle, bringing the in-game vehicle total to over 150. Notable new additions include the intimidating IS-3; a brutal close quarters and urban combat icon, the ISU-152; a high tier tank destroyer, and more will clash on two new battlegrounds: Komarin and Ensk.
