First screen from NHL 15 released and trips a bit over the uncanny valley

EA released the first screenshot from NHL 15 today and it features San Joe Sharks forward Joe Thornton in the foreground and  defender Scott Hannan in the background.  The level of detail in the screenshot and player models is gorgeous as you can see all kind of detail in the sweaters of the players as they wrap around their waists.  You can even see how the hockey socks bunch behind the players knees as he bends his knees and reflection of the stadium lights off the high gloss coating of the gloves is unreal.

There's only one problem that distracts me from the image.

While the players are focusing on where the puck is on the ice, the crowd seems to be focusing on something much farther down the ice.  It's not something you will ever notice or care about when you are playing the game but it is something that stands out very clearly to me in this one screenshot.

Not a big deal but it's something that once you see you can't not notice it as a hockey fan.  That said I'm really looking forward to seeing the game next week at E3.
