NHL 15 cover vote comes down to Subban vs Bergeron

The Montreal Canadiens eliminated the Boston Bruins from the playoffs a short period of time ago, and another battle is brewing between two members of these storied franchises that date back to the Original Six.  P.K. Subban and Patrice Bergeron are the finalists to be on the cover of NHL 15.  The vote is currently ongoing over at NHL.com, so be sure to hop over and vote for who you think should be on the front of this year's NHL title.  The playoffs are ongoing for the next few weeks, but this cover vote will end before that, so get the vote in soon!

EA SPORTS™, the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA®) and the National Hockey League (NHL®) announced today that the NHL®15 Cover Vote Final will reignite one of the most impassioned and storied rivalries in the sport’s history, pitting Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban against Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron. The winner will be revealed during the 2014 NHL Awards from Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas on June 24, 2014. The 2014 NHL Awards will be broadcast by NBCSN in the United States and CBC in Canada. This is the final opportunity for fans to decide the face of a new generation of hockey videogames. Voting for this round is now live and fans can vote an unlimited number of times at NHL.com/CoverVote, until the round closes on June 1 at 11:59pm ET. Fans can double their voting power by showing their support for either Subban with the hashtag #NHL15Subban or Bergeron with the hashtag #NHL15Bergeron on “Twitter Vote Thursdays.”

P.K. Subban defeated Toronto Maple Leaf’s leading scorer Phil Kessel in the first round. In the second round, it was a battle between two of the league’s top defensemen when Subban edged out Los Angeles Kings superstar Drew Doughty.
