says that they are on track for Nintendo to sell 4 million Wii's worldwide by the end of 2006. in the first eight days, 600,000 consoles were sold in North America. Those are big numbers for sure for a short period of time and I don't doubt Nintendo can hit that goal provided they make enough consoles.
