Today is the first day of the Borderlands 2 $100,000 Loot Hunt and if you haven't signed up yet, it's easy to do so.  Head on over to to sign up and log into your Shift Account to register (since this requires linking your Shift Account and you must be online, Xbox 360 users will need to have Xbox Live Gold to do this).  After that, check back to the site daily to see what the day's target is and the loot you can get, as well as the current community challenge.  Taking out the target nets you one entry in that week's prizes as well as an entry for the overall grand prize: $50,000 (four other winners will win amounts that total to the other $50,000).

Today's target is Knuckledragger in Windshear Waste just outside of Claptrap's Place near where you started the game.  Once you take him out, look for Gwen's Head...don't worry, it's a pistol, not a body part.  As with any weapon the stats will vary depending on which playthrough you're on.  The Loot Hunt site will take some time to update, so if you kill Knuckledragger, get the gun, save, and log out but the site still shows he hasn't been killed yet, give it some time.  As for the current community challenge, players must kill a combined 50,000 Badass Mauraders with Gwen's Head to unlock another gun from Moxxi: The Creamer.

UPDATE: Today's Community Challenge has been completed.
