John Carver of Dead Space

by: Nathaniel -
More On: Dead Space 3
Who is John Carver?  No he wasn't the star of last summer's Disney film that flopped so hard heads were sent rolling; John Carver is the name of Isaac Clarke's co-op partner in Dead Space 3.  Who is he?  Well, for that Visceral Games and Titan Books are going to release an original graphic novel that sheds light on how Sergeant Carver came to be battling Necromorphs alongside a functionally insane mining engineer.

Called Dead Space: Liberation and written by science fiction comic book author Ian Edginton and illustrated by Christopher Shy, this graphic novel will tell the tale of how John Carver got to the point that we'll find him at the start of Dead Space 3 when it gets released alongside Dead Space 3 on February 5.

A new graphic novel is not all that we can look forward to either.  Also coming out on February 5 is The Art of Dead Space - a full color hardback look inside the design process that went into developing the Dead Space franchise's signature look.

The Art of Dead Space will retail for $34.95, while Dead Space: Liberation will be available for a comparatively measly $17.95.
