E3 2012: SimCity Screenshots

More On: SimCity E3 2012
I recall the first time I dove into the world of SimCity.  I still find myself dusting off the Super Nintendo and plugging it in from time to time to enjoy it on the big screen.  EA has brought back that inner child happiness that I have for this franchise as they announced that SimCity would be returning in February of 2013.  We're sure that EA will continue to unload information on us regarding this title, but for now, we will have to settle for some delicious screenshots.  Enjoy!

Balance that ledger and practice that toothy-grin smile for the press, Mayor, SimCity™ is coming to stores around the world in February 2013! Wait no longer, the king of all city-builders opens its gates and shows you what wonders await.  Straight from E3, check out the world premiere of the first in-game SimCity screenshots and the official E3 2012 trailer, comprised of in-game footage, direct fromwww.SimCity.com and from www.info.ea.com.

At E3, we are showing off multiplayer and why it’s an integral part of the new SimCity. No city is an island unto itself and now with SimCity you’ll see why. You will deal with issues not only within your city, but face issues that your neighbors have created, like crime, energy choices, water shortages and more. Addressing challenges that face your city and your friends cities will only be half the battle – everything has consequences. Powered by GlassBox, our in-house simulation engine, every decision you make will affect the population of your city and also those living in the greater region. Collaborate or compete with other players – build great works, share resources or ignore their pleas and cause problems for your region; you decide. Shape your world of tomorrow – for better or worse.

We are also announcing the “Name a SimCity Building” contest. Maxis is giving fans the chance to immortalize themselves forever within SimCity by giving one of the in-game buildings a name. What’s in a name? That’s for you to tell us. For more information on how to enter and all the rules and restrictions, click here.

We’re looking forward to showing you much more of SimCity in the coming months. If you’re at E3 why don’t you come by and say hello – EA booth 1601, South Hall - and more importantly, stay and take a look at the game that will allow you to build the city of your dreams.
