With the announcement earlier this week of the new iPad, Apple also launched a new version of iOS 5 (5.1) for all iOS 5 compatible devices. Included in the update were Japanese support for Siri, multiple camera updates, security updates and a big that was impacting battery life.  The update affects all iPhone 3GS, 4 and 4S, iPad 1, 2 & 3 and iPod Touch 3rd & 4th generation.

I have applied the update to my iPhone 4s and I also noticed that my apps appear to be loading quicker at startup. Here is a full list of the software updates, and a link to the security updates.
