Lost Planet cleans up at Leipzig

It looks like people at Leipzig liked Lost Planet: Extreme Condition quite a bit as they elected the game as the Best Xbox 360 Game at the show.  I can't say I disagree too much as I still fire up the demo they released at E3 this year.  Gamers will get to find out what the fuss is about when the game is released in January of 2007.

In Lost Planet, human snow pirates navigate VS (Vital Suits) through unforgiving arctic environments, fighting against the indigenous Akrid creatures for the precious thermal energy they need to survive.  For one such pilot named Wayne, death almost seemed imminent until he was fortunately rescued.  However, he can only remember a few fragments of his past including the slaying of his father by these enigmatic menaces.  Yet under the shroud of ice, a devious plot has been set into motion by the Neo Venus Construction Corporation (NEVEC).
