Some game companies like to celebrate the holidays by putting games on sale, and Taito is no exception. Aside from releasing an update to their iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad game Groove Coaster (putting it at v2.0.0), they have also put some of their games on sale, such as Cooking Mama, Groove Coaster, and Space Invaders Infinity Gene. iPhone/iPod touch Hit Updated With New Stages, Soundtrack EP Released
LOS ANGELES (Dec. 19, 2011) – TAITO Corporation (TAITO®), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd., today announced a holiday sale to celebrate another banner year in the smartphone market. Coinciding with the holiday campaign is a substantial content update to GROOVE COASTER™ for iPhone®, iPod touch®, and iPad®, along with the release of a companion soundtrack mini album via the iTunes Store®. The campaign begins Dec. 19, 2011 and will last until Jan. 4, 2012.

TAITO is celebrating the close of another year by discounting some of its most beloved titles. Japan iTunes Rewind 2011 featured title GROOVE COASTER leads off the campaign, accompanied by its predecessor SPACE INVADERS® INFINITY GENE™ and the enduring hit COOKING MAMA®. GROOVE COASTER has been discounted by 65%, with COOKING MAMA and both the App Store™ and Android™ Market editions of SPACE INVADERS INFINITY GENE on sale for 40% off.
New Grooves!
The new GROOVE COASTER Version 2.0.0 adds five new playable songs to GROOVE COASTER with two of these stages presented free of charge. The selection covers a wide gamut of musical styles, and in true GROOVE COASTER fashion, each of these new stages has been painstakingly designed to provide the most engrossing audio-visual experience possible.
GROOVE COASTER Extended Play Mini Album Released
In addition to the game itself, the music has enjoyed considerable popularity as well, with the GROOVE COASTER Original Soundtrack awarded Best Game Soundtrack Album in the Japanese iTunes Rewind 2011 retrospective. Joining the GROOVE COASTER Original Soundtrack on iTunes is the GROOVE COASTER Extended Play mini-album. This EP collects additional GROOVE COASTER released in the post-release updates up through the new Ver. 2.0.0 songs.
