Test Drive Unlimited videos to be a first....

As if creating the first Massively Open Online Racing (M.O.O.R.) game for next-gen platforms wasn't enough, Atari and Microsoft will release walkthrough videos for Test Drive Unlimited on both Xbox.com and Xbox Live to allow players to learn how this whole new way of racing works.  The videos will be from three to five minutes in length and will cover various aspects of the game including test driving, buying vehicles, customization of the vehicles, avatar creation, how to explore the thousands of miles of roads, the three-main race types, using the map and much, much more. 

In addition to the videos, TDU will have car packs available for monthly download from Xbox Live Marketplace approximately six weeks after launch.  The packs will include six or more vehicles complete with genre-specific radio stations.  No cost was provided, but to assume something in line with PGR3 or Oblivion is not out of the question.

Race, It's All About the Challenge and FreeRiding. Each video details the
various aspects of the game. Part One, The Automotive Dream, introduces
players to Test Drive Unlimited and the basic opportunities available in
the game such as test driving and purchasing cars, as well as how to
customize them with deluxe paint jobs and performance tune-ups. In
Lifestyle Customization, viewers learn how to create their avatars,
choosing from a plethora of hair styles, eye colors, noses, chins and more.
The customization options are rounded out with an abundance of clothing
choices and real estate purchases. Welcome to the Race invites gamers to
learn how to explore the thousand miles of open roads, check out the three
main types of races, and navigate the island using the in-game map. Online
racing is emphasized in It's All About the Challenge. Gamers learn all
about Oahu, unlockables, rankings, police, and more in Freeriding, the last
video of the series which highlights the realistic driving experience of
Test Drive Unlimited.
