Rock Band bringing back Benjamin’s and Roaches next week

The folks at Harmonix have dipped a little deeper into the well for next week and will be bringing us some tracks from a couple of Rock Band favorites. Breaking Benjamin will get a three-pack and Papa Roach will see their 2006 song “Forever” become available next Tuesday. Although none of the songs were heavy hitters on the airwaves, but they are all pretty good and will definitely please fans of each group. Pricing will be $5.49/440 MS Pts/550 Wii Pts for the “Breaking Benjamin Pack 02”, $1.99/160 MS Pts/200 Wii Pts per track and $0.99/80 MS Pts/100 Wii Pts for eligible Pro Guitar/Pro Bass upgrade

BREAKING BENJAMIN MAKES THEIR RETURN TO ROCK BAND, ALONG WITH A TRACK FROM PAPA ROACH!


Cambridge, Mass. – October 28th, 2011 – Harmonix today announced that a 3-pack from Breaking Benjamin and a single from Papa Roach will be available beginning November 1st in the Rock Band 3 Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™.

Rock Band provides the deepest and best selection of artists, songs and albums through the Rock Band music platform, which features more than 900 artists and more than 3,000* tracks via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/songs). Rock Band’s gigantic music library dwarfs that of any other rhythm video game on the market. More than 100 million songs have been sold through the Rock Band Music Store since its launch on Nov. 20, 2007.

Rock Band DLC Additions for Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system and Wii™

Multi-platinum selling artists Breaking Benjamin are kicking off November’s Rock Band downloadable content offerings with “Breaking Benjamin Pack 02,” featuring some of the band’s biggest hits. “Sooner or Later,” from Breaking Benjamin’s second album, 2004’s We Are Not Alone, leads the pack. It’s rounded out with two tracks from 2006’s Phobia, “Until the End” and the chart-topping single, “Breath.”

A single track from Papa Roach, “Forever,” is also hitting the Rock Band Music Store next week. The hit single comes off the band’s fifth album, 2006’s The Paramour Sessions. The album was recorded at California’s famous and allegedly haunted “Paramour Mansion”; Papa Roach vocalist Jacoby Shaddix even says that some lyrics to “Forever” were inspired by a resident spirit!

As always, songs available as downloadable content for Rock Band 3 feature five-button guitar and bass parts, drums, Pro Drums, and keys, Pro Keys and harmonies, where applicable. Some songs also feature Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades available for an additional $0.99 upgrade download.
