Should this headline read "World of Re-enactors" or "World of Pin-Up models?"

Wargaming.net, makers of World of Tanks and the other World of _______ games, are serious about WWII - like totally super-cereal serious.  I'm sure if you told them that WWII-themed games were going out of style, they'd just stick their fingers in their ears and yell "ICAN'THEARYOU," "ICAN'THEARYOU!" until you got bored and left.  Today they have announced what is essentially a doubling-down on that super-cereal seriousness.  Wargaming.net has partnered with the totally real and not made up magazine called World War II Re-enactors Magazine (here's proof - see, it's totally real).  This partnership facilitates their sponsorship of WWII Re-enactors Magazine's annual Pin-Up contest, with the winner being WWII Re-enactors Magazine's Pin-Up model of the year who will grace the cover of the magazine's December/January issue.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wargaming.net Partners With WWII Re-Enactors Magazine

London, UK, Paris, FR and San Francisco, CA (14th September, 2011) — Wargaming.net, publisher and developer of the award-winning videogame World Of Tanks, announces that the company will be the main sponsor for WWII re-enactors Pin-Up Competition magazine, which seeks the very essence of today's pin-up. This year's winner will be the next cover girl on the December/January issue of the magazine.

“We are delighted to be partners with Wargaming.net and the synergy between WWII Re-enactors magazine and the game World Of Tanks is an exciting one, we are looking forward to the many entries in this hotly contested competition, may I personally wish every entrant the best of luck, the prize fund now stands at over £1300!” commented publisher Stuart Humphrey.

World of Tanks is the first and only team-based massively multiplayer online action game dedicated to World War II armored warfare. Throw yourself into epic tank battles with other tank commanders worldwide. A flexible system of authentic vehicle upgrades and development allows you to try any of the vehicles and weapons in the game. Whether you prefer to exhaust your foes with fast and maneuverable light tanks, make deep breaches in enemy lines with all-purpose medium tanks, use the force of giant tanks to eliminate opposing armored forces, or become a heavy sniper with long-range howitzers.

The judging panel consists of Fleur de Guerre, Kitten Von Mew and Evalina de Lis, as well as last year's winner Stefanie Valentine, who are experienced in the field of vintage fashion, entertainment, and/or the portrayal of classic pin-up.

Last year's winner Stefanie Valentine commented, “I can honestly say that being last year's winner and having the opportunity has really given me a boost. It made me realise that yes, there are people out there who appreciate and love the way that I dress, and to be confident about who I am.”

To be a participant or to find out more, information about the competition can be found on www.reenactingww2.co.uk — simply scroll to the bottom of the page for full details. The closing date for entries is 26th November 2011, and we will list all entrants online. Good luck!
