In this
interview with Gamespot, Kaz Hirai, the president of SCEA admitted that manufacturing has yet to begin on the PS3 (along with some other stuff about how the PS3 will surpass the PS2). This is certainly not good news as the Wii is already in production and Microsoft had started producing Xbox 360's by this time last year. This means that the impending shortage is going to be much worse than expected. Maybe Sony can get Apple to let them do some production at one of their
sweat shops.
