Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception looked good, but what kind of engine is it using? Is it brand new or modified from the previous game?

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Drake's Deception will be using a modified engine of the first game. Now, it doesn't mean that there hasn't been plenty of updates and changes since Thieves as evident by the leap in graphics and physics from the first to the second game.
Now, I kind of wished Naughty Dog would've kept the naming convention of the second game using Drake in the title since the first and third game's going by Drake's something. For those that played the second game, what do you think would've been a good second title using Drake's name?
