Sega of America sends word that copies of Super Monkey Ball Deluxe are rolling on to store shelves. Available for the first time on the Xbox, and the PS2, this new compilation features 300 total stages, all of the stages from the first two Monkey Balls and 46 new stages made exclusively for this release.

In other SEGA news, the company has also shipped Worms Forts: Under Siege, also for the Xbox and the PS2. This entry adds a new twist to the franchise by allowing gamers to play as the Egyptians, the Japanese and medieval knights. Sounds interesting.

SAN FRANCISCO (March 15, 2005) SEGA® of America, Inc. today announced the availability of Super Monkey Ball Deluxe™ on the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft and the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. Super Monkey Ball Deluxe represents the first time this popular SEGA franchise has appeared on either Xbox or PlayStation 2.

Super Monkey Ball Deluxe also offers a retooled Challenge Mode, integrating varying skill settings (Beginner, Advanced, and Expert) into one fluid ramp up, rather than breaking them out as independent gameplay sections.

Steinberg, Vice President of Entertainment Marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. All 12 of the party games from Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 are also included. They no longer need to be unlocked through the single-player mode; they are all immediately available from the start of the game. From the moment you pop the game into your console, you can enjoy hours of exciting four-player contests that are suitable for all ages.
